If your thumb is turning green along with the countryside, it’s telling you that now is the time to get out the gardening equipment. Last year was not all that great for most of us who must have our home grown heirloom tomatoes. All of my plants produced some good fruit in spite of the unusually wet spring, and cool summer. I’ve taken a survey of my favorite places for tomato starts, Common Ground in Palo Alto, and Sunnyside Nursury in Mt. View. They both have the best selection of heirloom tomato starts, so I went shopping, and took some notes.
This year, I have some extra starts from my own garden to offer. If you would like to try some of these, contact me for details and arrangements. There are about 10 of each kind that need to be transplanted soon. If you have anything to trade, that would be great.
