Eventually you may find yourself wondering why something on your computer is not working right anymore. Perhaps things seem sluggish, or even worse your homepage got high jacked, or Windows XP won’t boot anymore. Don’t feel bad, and don’t continue to limp along. This type of thing happens a lot. You may have clicked on the wrong website, or email. I can fix anything. The first time. At a price that makes sense.

If you are buying a new computer, you might be interested to know that a significant part of a new computer’s cost is the software it comes with. I always suggest buying a new computer with as little software as possible, especially Microsoft software. This is difficult because computer vendors are bullied by Microsoft to include their XP operating system.

It does not make sense to buy another copy with a new computer, if you have a copy of XP already. That’s what Mr. Gates wants you to do. If your copy of XP does not allow you to load it into another computer, do not despair. I can fix that too. Bring me your brand new computer. I will load your software, or anything you want from my extensive collection. The typical cost for software installation or upgrade is $60.

Located in Sunnyvale, PC-Friends has been building and repairing PCs since 1985. Our labor rates are very reasonable: $30/hr. I'm a very personable and knowledgeable engineer. I will be glad to provide an estimate for $10, which is refundable with a service order of $60 or more. If something else becomes a problem, I will call you immediately before spending additional time.

For immediate service, please call 408-732-2964. Please register and mention that you saw this ad at PC-Friends.com, and the service charge for an estimate will be waived. I don't charge my friends for an estimate!

I also build custom computers for those with special needs.

My specialty is home theater PCs, with high definition TV tuners, and Dolby Digital and DTS output for use with your living room receiver. With this type of system, the PC receives HDTV signals from cable or antenna, and operates from a remote control. A DVI cable then carries the HDTV signal to your HD monitor. This type of system is capable of recording digital TV to the hard drive for later viewing or saving to DVD.
