 Tucked away in the small Fair Oaks strip mall on E. Duane Ave., behind the AMD world headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley USA, Tia Juana (TJ) is a real find. Well decorated but not pretentious, the food is far above average, practically unbeatable. While the facility does not compare with the likes of Compadres in Palo Alto, the food is just as good if not better. Starting with the excellent homemade salsa and tortilla chips, even the rice and beans are scrumptious, freshly made, and not overcooked. Everything at TJs is very good, but my favorite is the shrimp burrito. Just beer and wine, no hard alcohol is served here. And when the bill comes, you can't help but smile, because the prices are very reasonable. This place can get crowded. At lunch time during the week, TJ is packed.
